I fell in love with photography the first time I took pictures for a high school project. Growing up in Colombia surrounded by family and friends, I always took photos at weddings and other events. A cousin was surprised when he learned that I had not been a professional photographer early on. He had always seen me with a camera, so he assumed that photography had always been my profession.
While in college, I studied social communications and won photography awards. I pursued my M.B.A. in the United States and worked in the business world for several years, using my communications and business degrees.
Yet, all the while, my dream was always to have my own photography business. The long journey getting here helps me to appreciate the reality of what I have now. I love what I am doing, working with a camera and spending time with kids and families.
My friends would say I'm a straightforward person. What you see is what you get. I like to have fun, and I try to put my subjects at ease so they can have fun. My sessions are not stressful or high pressure. Part of that comes from my ability to be flexible, since my style is eclectic. I like the classic approach of capturing children’s expressions outside or in their homes. But I also like capturing spontaneous interaction within families.
I'm passionate about delivering quality photographs. My goal is to make my customers happy and deliver what they want. I try to educate my clients about what it's like to have a professional photographer at their side, creating high-quality mementos. My photography business is about relationships, and clients often become long lasting friends.
